Give in celebration

Many people now realise that asking for donations instead of gifts can really help a charity that has supported them or a friend or family member.  It’s also much easier for friends and family who don’t know what to get you and who want to give to charity.  It’s the perfect gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries etc.

It’s easy to set up a page and then share the link to your friends and family so they too can celebrate your special occasion.  Don’t forget to let us know how much you have raised as we like to thank our donors!

You can set up a fundraising page on any of these websites:

JustGiving – and choose “A charity”

Facebook – go to your Facebook page.  Click “Create” (on the blue menu at the top of the page); click “Fundraiser” (at the bottom of the list); click “Charity”; type “Thyroid UK” into the search bar and then complete the form with the relevant details.

If you’d rather not set up a fund page, you can make a one-off donation or set up a regular donation.  Alternatively, you can collect gifts and send the donation by bank transfer to:

Account Name: Thyroid UK
Sort Code: 20-21-73
Account Number: 53682137
Reference: Donation

If you make a bank transfer, please let us know so that we can thank you.

You can also make a donation by post.  Please make cheques payable to Thyroid UK and remember to include a covering letter containing your name and address so that we can thank you.  Please send to:

Thyroid UK
Lufkins Farm
Great Bentley Road
Frating
Essex
CO7 7HN

If your celebration is a wedding, you can also order wedding favours to show your guests that you have donated to Thyroid UK.

If you have any questions about making a donation in celebration, please email us or call 01255 820407 (leave a message and we will ring you back).
